About Andrea Barringer

As an associate attorney at Smith Law, Andrea is knowledgeable and a results-driven legal professional with experience in litigation, legal research, legal analysis, contract review and drafting, and client advocacy. Andrea brings a practical, detail-oriented approach to her work and has developed strong skills in evaluating legal issues, navigating procedure, and communicating effectively with clients.

Before joining Smith Law, Andrea served as a Deputy Public Defender II with the Law Offices of the Public Defender of San Bernardino County, where she met with clients at arraignment and pretrial hearings, evaluated cases and evidence, negotiated with the District Attorney’s Office, and developed a strong trial background that includes both bench and jury trials. Her prior experience also includes work with the State of Hawaii Office of Veterans Services, where she assisted veterans with disability claims, analyzed records for benefits eligibility, and handled sensitive and confidential information.

Andrea is skilled in legal research, legal writing, legal analysis, and document drafting. She is also a Westlaw Certified Expert Electronic Legal Researcher and is recognized for her critical thinking, attention to detail, time management, and strong written and oral communication skills.
